More than 30 years of history
Macarthur Triathlon Club was founded in 1987. The vision of inaugural President Barry Jarvis, the club has always existed to be an affordable, family-friendly, no pressure, supportive community for lovers of all things swim, bike and run.
The club has achieved at all levels of the sport with World Championships, Olympic medals and National Championships to boot. We have been represented at every World Championship since 2003 and have only missed two since 1995!
Just as important, we've had at least 100 members of our club actively participating in triathlon events every year since the early 1990s.

- 1987: Macarthur Triathlon Club founded
- 1995: First #teamMacTri member selected to represent Australia
- 2000: MacTri Juniors featured in episode of Home and Away
- 2006: First #teamMacTri World Champion; Erin Densham (Under 23 Triathlon)
- 2007: Move to Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre
- 2008: Erin Densham selected to Australian Olympic Team
- 2010: Macquarie Reserve Triathlon Track built behind Macquarie Fields Pool for the club
- 2012: Erin Densham wins Mooloolaba World Cup, Sydney World Triathlon Series, San Diego World Triathlon Series
- 2012: Erin Densham wins Olympic Bronze in London
- 2013: Club hosts Triathlon NSW Junior Elite Super Sprint Event
- 2014: War veteran Garry Robinson demonstrates unbelievable bravery to complete his first triathlon since an Afghanistan war incident in which he became an amputee and suffered extensive brain injuries
- 2016: Erin Densham selected to Australian Olympic Team
- 2018: Natalie Van Coevorden takes Bronze Medal at Abu Dhabi World Triathlon Series
- 2018: Natalie Van Coevorden takes Silver in Triathlon Mixed Relay World Championship
- 2019: Natalie Van Coevorden takes Bronze in Triathlon Mixed Relay World Championship
